The Environmental Impact of Disposable Paper Cups

Paper cups, which appear like it is worse and you will see them in paper bins are actually slow to be broken down based on research they could take 20 years for proper breakdown this replicates other wastes. That’s a long time. Then when, they do break down it turns it to methane which is a nasty gas that can too help climate change and hurt our planet. Paper cups are also not recyclable in a lot of place, due to having a thin plastic lining inside which stops the paper from becoming waterlogged. This layer prevents the cups from breaking down completely and, as a result of this, they can remain in landfills for many years. This is the reason why we need to use less of paper cups and recycle them wherever possible. Let us all do our part to save the Earth. Be wise in using paper cups — sure, it's fine to use a paper cup every once in awhile; but if you can help it, bring your own mug. They should however be used judiciously. Do not stack cups and do not put on a plastic lid unless you are taking smoothies with yourself. And, of course disposing of them properly recycling.
