Paper cups are everywhere! We all use them, from schools to offices. But ever wonder where they are from, what they are made of? At SHI RONG PAPER, we produce paper cup fan, and it begins with trees. Let's journey into the creation of these cups, from the forest to your hands!
The Way Trees Become Text Books
First, we need trees. They chop down trees and take them to a mill where they are turned into wood chips. It does seem sad, but do not fret, we make sure that the trees are from areas that grow new trees to replace the trees that we use. Those wood chips are then cooked in chemicals to turn them into a mushy material called pulp. This is the pulp from which we make our paper. It's not ready yet, though. First, it must be cleaned and bleached to turn it white and get rid of any splinters of wood we don’t want.
From Pulp to Finished Product
And now that we have our clean, white pulp, it’s time to turn it into paper. The pulp is laid out on wide, flat machines that squeeze and dry it into long sheets of paper. These sheets are super long and wide. The paper is then rolled into giant rolls. Your mental image might look something like a huge roll of toilet paper. These rolls are then sent to another machine that cuts and molds them into cups. So that’s how we get the paper cup that you use!
How Responsible Paper Cup Raw Material Sourcing is Done
Prior to deliver: At SHI RONG PAPER we respect environment. We ensure that we take trees from forests that are well maintained. These forests are managed in such a way that they are continually growing and never run out of trees. And we don’t destroy anything, either: we use safe chemicals to reduce the wood to pulp, then we clean up after ourselves so that we don’t pollute the air or the water. This way, we ensure that producing our paper cups doesn’t do the planet harm.
The Advantages of Using Cup Paper
Paper cups are awesome because you can use them and then dispose of them. That’s reduction of washing up, or the saving of water. They’re also great for cleanliness and health purposes of course, since everyone gets a new, clean cup every time. Oh and, here at SHI RONG PAPER, our cups are Earth-friendly too!
The Disposable Paper Cup Lifecycle
You can toss it after using a paper cup. And some coffee cup paper are even recyclable, meaning they can be processed into new paper products. That’s good though because it means less garbage in landfills. So, every time you pour yourself something into one of our paper cups, you’re not just enjoying a drink you’re helping to keep the planet free from landfill.
